The EAUC Annual Conference will be taking place at the University of Winchester.

Located in Hampshire, the University of Winchester is easily accessible.

By Train

Winchester train station is 1 mile from the West Downs Quarter only a 20-minute walk, 15-minute cycle and a less than 10-minute bus journey. 

To reach the West Downs Quarter, walk along Clifton Terrace before turning right and walking up Romsey Road – the entrance to the West Downs Quarter is on your right at the top of the hill.

The train journey to London from Winchester is under 1.5 hours, with multiple trains leaving London every hour, with around 115 trains running a day.

By Bus

Bluestar and Stagecoach both run bus services with stops close to the University.  When exiting the front of the station cross the road and directly ahead go to bus stop Qc and take either bus WPR or 5 or 61 and travel about 11 minutes to Royal Hampshire County Hospital stop, when you get off the bus cross the road and continue in the same direction and you will see the West Down Campus on your right.

By Bike

The campus has extensive cycle facilities - including cycle hoops, covered shelters, and cycle lockers. For a full list of bike rack locations visit the campus sustainability map here

Liftshare

Should you find it difficult to get to the conference by train and are thinking of driving to the event, we really encourage you to put your journey into Liftshare and see if it’s possible to car share with someone else. Liftshare is a free service for individuals.

 
Car Interior

Parking:

Visitors are encouraged to park at the South Winchester Park and Ride or the city centre public car parks, which are a short walk away from the campus. Visitor parking on campus is limited and is by advance booking only.

University of Winchester, West Downs Centre:

Use the following address: The University of, Romsey Rd, Winchester SO22 5FT to get to the West Downs Centre.

 

The South Winchester Park and Ride is accessible from Junction 11 off the M3. There are Park and Ride bus stops along Romsey Road close to both the West Downs and King Alfred Quarters. The map shows the location of Park and Ride sites and stops and city centre public car parks.
